SHAYARI

Main lafzon se kuch bhi izhaar nahi karta..
Iska matlab ye nahi ke main us se pyaar nahi karta...

Chahta hu main use aaj bhi..
Par uski soch mein apna waqt bekaar nahi karta...

Tamasha na ban jaye kahin mohabbat meri..
Isliye apne dard ka izhaar nahi karta...

Jo kuch mila hai usi mein khush hu main..
Uske liye khuda se taqrar nahi karta...

Par kuch to baat hai uski baaton mein..
Varna use chahne ki khata baar baar nahi karta....

Shayari... Dil Se

Zindagi aisi ho jo jine ko majboor kare;
Rahein aisi ho jo chalne ko majboor kare;
Khushboo kabhi dosti ki kam na ho;
Dosti aisi ho jo milne ko majboor kare.

dosti main dost dost ka khuda hota hai,
mehsoosh tab hota hai jab dost dost se juda hota hai,

tum milo na milo koi gum nahin ,
bas baat karo yeh kam nahi,
dosti main dhokha de vo hum nahin,
apni dosti rang de basnti se kam nahi.

Dil Ki Aawaj Ko Izhar Kahate Hai,
Jhuki Nigaho Ko Ekrar Kahte Hai,
Sirf ''Jatane'' Ka Nam Ishq Nahi,
Kisi Ki Yaado Me Jeene Ko Bhi Pyar
Kahate Hai.

Mann hi sab kuch hai
Tann kuch bhi nahin
Mann hi sab kuch hai
Tann kuch bhi nahin
Aasmano mein so jayega
Dastano mein kho jayega
Tann kisi roz ban kar dhua
In havavo ka ho jayega

mohabbat se nahi to nafrat se hi sahi..
kabhi to lijiye aap mera naam hi sahi

har pehloo-e-khushi-o-ranj dekh liya..
duniya mein chaar roz kayaam hi sahi

de de saaqiya kuch dil behlaane ko..
bharaa nahin to khaali jaam hi sahi

jo zubaani aapki hai sar aankhon pe hai..
agar nahi lafz-e-inaayat dushnaam hi sahi

maana aapne rakeeb ke naam zindagi kar di...
mere hisse mein bhi kuch ho, ek shaam hi sahi

aaye hai to kuch batlaake jaaiye saahib..
apna pata nahi to apna naam hi sahi

bas ek teri mohabbat ke liye banaa hai woh..
tera "Muztar" izzatwala nahi badnaam hi sahi

Wo to majborioon main lipti hain
Apney shiddat bharey khyaloon main
Apney ander chhupi ek aurat main
Wo hamesha hi darti rehti hain
Na to jeeti hain na to marti hain
Larkiyaan bewafaa nahi hoti
Per Hamesha hi darti rehti hain
Apne reeti or rawajoon se
Any waley naye azaboon se
Zardurat main khily ghulaboon se
Pyaar kerti hain or chhupati hain
Larkiyaan Bewafaa nahi hot
Kyuon ki majborioon main lepti hain
Or her lamha darti rehti hain
Apney pyaar se apney saye se
Apney rishton se dil ki dharkan se
Apni khowahish se apni kushioon se
Larkiyaan Bewafaa nahi hoti !!!

Pyaar kamjor dil se kiya nahi ja sakta,
Zeher Dushman se liya nahi ja sakta,
Dil mein basi hai ulfat jis pyar ki
us ke bina jiya nahi ja sakta.

Saath rehte rehte yuhin waqt guzar jayega
Door hone ke baad kaun kise yaad aayega
Jee lo ye pal jab humsath hai

kal ka kya pata, waqt kahan le jayega

Dosti achchi ho toh rang laati hai,
Dosti gehri ho toh sabko bhaati hai,
Dosti naadaan ho toh toot jaati hai,
Par agar dosti apne jaisi ho.
. Toh itihaas banaati hai !

Jaan hai mujhko zindagi se pyaari,
Jaan ke liye kar doon kurbaan yaari,
Jaan ke liye todd doon dosti tumhaari,

Ab tumse kya chhupaana,
Tum hi toh ho jaan hamaari !

Tumse doori ka ehsaas sataane lagaa,
Tere saath guzaraa har lamha yaad aane laga,
Jab bhi tujhe bhoolne ki koshish ki aye dost,
Tu dil ke aur bhi kareeb aane laga !

Zindagi nahin humein doston se pyaari,
Doston pe haazir hai jaan hamaari,
Aankhon mein hamaari aansoon hai toh kya,
Jaan se bhi pyaari hai muskaan tumhaari !

Jasbaate ishq naakaam naa hone denge,
Dil ki duniya mein kabhi shaam naa hone denge,
Dosti ka har ilzaam apne sar par le lenge,
Par dost hum tumhe badnaam na hone denge !

Dosti toh sirf ek ittefaaq hai,
Yeh toh dilon ki mulaakaat hai,
Dosti nahi dekhti yeh din hai ki raat hai,
Isme toh sirf wafaadaari aur jasbaat hai

Bret Lee in form for Bollywood debut

New Delhi, (IANS) Australian speedster Brett Lee is geared up to showcase his cricketing skills on the big screen with his Bollywood debut in Manmohan Shetty's "Victory".

Lee would be playing himself in the movie.

"Working in the movie was fun because I just got to play myself. I enjoyed the whole experience," Lee said on the sidelines of an event here Monday.

Sharing his on-shoot experiences, he added: "We used to play a lot of cricket on the sets and my co-stars got many cricketing tips from me."

"Victory" is the story of a small-town cricketer played by Harman Baweja who makes it big in the international cricket scene. He is helped by Lee in the movie to realise his dreams.

Other Australian players - Michael Hussey, Brad Hogg and Stuart Clark will also share screen space in the movie for the first time along with Lee.

Apart from claiming wickets, Lee shares a passion for music. He also did a song and music video for legendary singer Asha Bhosle's album "Asha and friends".

"I am a music lover and I can hear anything from 'Metallica' to 'Backstreet Boys'," Lee added.

Lee's love for music is evident by his habit of playing either the guitar or the piano everyday.

"Music is the real stress buster for me, so at the end of a busy day, I play some instrument or listen to good music to uplift my spirits," he said.

When asked about his take on the emerging tie-ups between the fashion and sports world, Lee said both were different fields that should not be mixed.

Queried about his fashion statement, he quipped: "Fashion is just like music to me. I like to carry myself well and my fashion statement is just to be oneself."

Lee, who is a busy person because of hectic cricket tours and other assignments, is a home person whenever he gets the time.

"The family always comes first, so I love to be with them whenever I get time. My home is the ultimate holiday destination for me," he concluded.

Beginning of forever

I'll still always remember
The last time we were together
Wanting to discover
From the beginning of forever

You were the only thing,
I had to live for.
Everything was so perfect,
But that was before.

I always thought,
We would always be together.
I would love you,
From now till forever.

But I know that would be in the end
And we will be apart
So many kisses I can't send
After what you did to my heart

Behind this smiley mask
I saw the ugly truth
A question in my mind I've ask...
Why I loved you?

What should I do, to make you love me?
What should I say, to make you believe me?
It's only you, who I want to see?
Every day of my single day, to set me free

I lost my way, my thought
And my heart was withered
In a game I played
Pretending I'm the winner

Running from the truth
was the easy thing to do
I wish you had the courage to be honest
to gently tell me, we were though

So, please return to the past
Return to your man
I said, "I love you," at last
Wishing you would understand

That's true
I'm still needing you
But you must know
That I'll never let you go...

The top 10 languages spoken in the world

10. French -- Number of speakers: 129 million
Often called the most romantic language in the world, French is spoken in tons of countries, including Belgium, Canada, Rwanda, Cameroon, and Haiti. Oh, and France too. We're actually very lucky that French is so popular, because without it, we might have been stuck with Dutch Toast, Dutch Fries, and Dutch kissing (ew!).
To say "hello" in French, say "Bonjour" (bone-JOOR).

9. Malay—Indonesian Number of speakers: 159 million
Malay-Indonesian is spoken - surprise - in Malaysia and Indonesia. Actually, we kinda fudged the numbers on this one because there are many dialects of Malay, the most popular of which is Indonesian. But they're all pretty much based on the same root language, which makes it the ninth most-spoken in the world.Indonesia is a fascinating place; a nation made up of over 13,000 islands it is the sixth most populated country in the world. Malaysia borders on two of the larger parts of Indonesia (including the island of Borneo), and is mostly known for its capital city of Kuala Lumpur.
To say "hello" in Indonesian, say "Selamat pagi" (se-LA-maht PA-gee).

8. Portuguese -- Number of speakers: 191 million
Think of Portuguese as the little language that could. In the 12th Century, Portugal won its independence from Spain and expanded all over the world with the help of its famous explorers like Vasco da Gama and Prince Henry the Navigator. (Good thing Henry became a navigator . . . could you imagine if a guy named "Prince Henry the Navigator" became a florist?) Because Portugal got in so early on the exploring game, the language established itself all over the world, especially in Brazil (where it's the national language), Macau, Angola, Venezuela, and Mozambique.
To say "hello" in Portuguese, say "Bom dia" (bohn DEE-ah).

7. Bengali -- Number of speakers: 211 million
In Bangladesh, a country of 120+ million people, just about everybody speaks Bengali. And because Bangladesh is virtually surrounded by India (where the population is growing so fast, just breathing the air can get you pregnant), the number of Bengali speakers in the world is much higher than most people would expect.
To say "hello" in Bengali, say "Ei Je" (EYE-jay).

6. Arabic -- Number of speakers: 246 million
Arabic, one of the world's oldest languages, is spoken in the Middle East, with speakers found in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt. Furthermore, because Arabic is the language of the Koran, millions of Moslems in other countries speak Arabic as well. So many people have a working knowledge of Arabic, in fact, that in 1974 it was made the sixth official language of the United Nations.
To say "hello" in Arabic, say "Al salaam a'alaykum" (Ahl sah-LAHM ah ah-LAY-koom) .

5. Russian -- Number of speakers: 277 million
Mikhail Gorbachev, Boris Yeltsin, and Yakov Smirnoff are among the millions of Russian speakers out there. Sure, we used to think of them as our Commie enemies. Now we think of them as our Commie friends. One of the six languages in the UN, Russian is spoken not only in the Mother Country, but also in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and the U.S. (to name just a few places).
To say "hello" in Russian, say "Zdravstvuite" (ZDRAST-vet- yah).

4. Spanish -- Number of speakers: 392 million
Aside from all of those kids who take it in high school, Spanish is spoken in just about every South American and Central American country, not to mention Spain, Cuba, and the U.S. There is a particular interest in Spanish in the U.S., as many English words are borrowed from the language, including: tornado, bonanza, patio, quesadilla, enchilada, and taco grande supreme.
To say "hello" in Spanish, say "Hola" (OH-la).

3. Hindustani -- Number of speakers: 497 million
Hindustani is the primary language of India's crowded population, and it encompasses a huge number of dialects (of which the most commonly spoken is Hindi). While many predict that the population of India will soon surpass that of China, the prominence of English in India prevents Hindustani from surpassing the most popular language in the world. If you're interested in learning a little Hindi, there's a very easy way: rent an Indian movie. The film industry in India is the most prolific in the world, making thousands of action/romance/ musicals every year.
To say "hello" in Hindustani, say "Namaste" (Nah-MAH-stay) .

2. English -- Number of speakers: 508 million
While English doesn't have the most speakers, it is the official language of more countries than any other language. Its speakers hail from all around the world, including the U.S., Australia, England, Zimbabwe, the Caribbean, Hong Kong, South Africa, and Canada. We'd tell you more about English, but you probably feel pretty comfortable with the language already. Let's just move on to the most popular language in the world.
To say "hello" in English, say "What's up, freak?" (watz-UP-freek) .

1. Mandarin -- Number of speakers: 1 billion+
Surprise, surprise, the most widely spoken language on the planet is based in the most populated country on the planet, China. Beating second-place English by a 2 to 1 ratio, but don't let that lull you into thinking that Mandarin is easy to learn. Speaking Mandarin can be really tough, because each word can be pronounced in four ways (or "tones"), and a beginner will invariably have trouble distinguishing one tone from another. But if over a billion people could do it, so could you. Try saying hello!
To say "hello" in Mandarin, say "Ni hao" (Nee HaOW). ("Hao" is pronounced as one syllable, but the tone requires that you let your voice drop midway, and then raise it again at the end.)

Life after THE REALITY SHOW

Life after THE REALITY SHOW

REMEMBER
Prashant Tamang?

And
remember the millions of messages
you sent to vote for him?
Any idea where he is now?
Incidentally,
Prashant is on a tour,
performing in shows all over the world.
But
how come we have missed out on his show dates?

It's common knowledge that
it's the runner-ups who're stealing the show now.
Right from solo music albums,
roles in TV serials, movies,
hosting shows to winning more reality shows,
runner-ups like
Rahul Vaidya,
Prajakta Shukre,
Amit Tandon,
Amit Sana,
Harshit Saxena,
Toshi Sabri and Abhaas
have been in the limelight more often.
This reversal of equations leaves us puzzled,
no doubt, with the question,
"What happens after reality shows?"
lingering in our minds.

"Reality show khatam ho jaate hai,
aur uske saath log bhi khatam ho jaate hai
(When the reality show is over, the people in it are shut out too),"

Both Amit Sana and winner Abhijeet Sawant
have solo albums to their credit now,
but
neither of them have been able to make
a mark for themselves in the mainstream music industry.
To this,
Amit Sana says,
"Actual playback singing is very different
from singing in these reality shows."
He admits that
he was demoralised till very recently,
and he has been waiting for success to come his way.
"These channels don't prepare us to cope
with life once the show is over,"
he adds.
"For people from small towns,
it's too much exposure too soon."

However,
the channel heads beg to differ.

Niret Alva,
chairman of Miditech
which produces Indian Idol for Sony,
says in an interview that
the participants are given counselling in the show.
"We tell these kids that this is only one facet of life,
and they shouldn't take it seriously.
We also tell them not to fall for the media's attention.
It is very temporary.
We ask them to be the persons they are and
go back home with a lot of confidence," he says.

Amit Tandon,
an Indian Idol season one participant
and a soap star,
has a different story to tell.
"These channels paint such a glamourous picture
of the show's outcome.
You start believing that you'll be a superstar
by the end of the show, but it is not so.
They can only give you confidence," he says.

Amit got out of the show soon,
but was snapped up by

Ekta Kapoor's
Balaji Telefilms to act in various serials.
Now he also participates in reality shows like
Zara Nachke Dikha — basically, he's done it all.

"It's a ticket to the entertainment industry,"
says Ravi Menon,
executive vice president
and general manager of Star One.
"There are so many things that these contestants
learn during their time on the show.
We teach them to be confident and camera savvy.
They also get a music album contract along with money,
so it's a combined deal.
Some participants, even if they don't win,
are signed up as hosts for other shows.
So it gives them great avenues."

Then
why is it that many participants
of these reality shows suffer depression
or even lose their voices?
Remember the recent incident
where a girl apparently lost her voice
after a judge told her that she had no talent?

Anu Malik,
music composer and Indian Idol judge,
seeks to set the record straight.
"These reality shows only give you a platform.
Once you are in the industry, you're on your own.
You have to compete with established
singers from the fraternity."

"Our job is to provide a platform to people
who would otherwise be floundering.
The rest is upto their talent and to them," he adds.

"It depends on how the individual tackles the situation.
The channels have been quite kind to the contestants.
If there have been cases of depression,
it is just to create drama on the screen.
It tells of the character of the contestant."

There seems to be a basic disconnect here.
The producers, on one hand,
are worried about overdoing the reality bit,
and try to keep a clean conscience,
according to Niret Alva.
The contestants, on the other hand,
don't seem to have a clue about their future.
"I'm still waiting for my big break," says Amit Sana.

Whatever be the case,
the reality is that these shows are not only running,
but
are very successful.
And
this is evident in the hope
Akbar Ali,
Junoon contestant on NDTV Imagine,
has for his future.
"I know I can get my big break and access
to Bollywood if I win the show."
And the story continues.

CPM expels Somnath Chatterjee

New Delhi, July 23: The CPI(M) on Wednesday expelled veteran leader Somnath Chatterjee from the party, following his decision to continue as Lok Sabha Speaker and preside over the July 22nd trust vote in Parliament.

The decision to expel Somnath was taken by the CPM politburo at a meeting in New Delhi, which was held a day after the Left parties, along with other opposition parties, failed to bring down the UPA government in the trust vote.

Explaining its decision, the CPM said the politburo decided to expel Somnath from the party based on his anti-party conduct over the past few days.

Somnath has been expelled from the CPM for "seriously compromising the position of the party", the party's politburo said.

The decision has been taken following Somnath’s defiance by not quitting the post of Lok Sabha Speaker after the Left parties' withdrawal of their support to the UPA government, it added.

The politburo said the action was being taken under Clause 13 of Article 19 of the CPI(M) constitution which empowers the party committees the right to resort to summary procedures for expulsion of a member for anti-party activities.

A party spokesman said that the Speaker had said he would step down after the July 22 trust vote. The party waited for him to do so, but he continued to remain defiant, the spokesperson said further, adding he will have to abide by party constitution.

Sources said the decision to expel Somnath was taken unanimously by the CPM politburo.

Somnath has been a member of the CPM for nearly four decades. He was named the Best Parliamentarian in 1996.

Legally, Somnath can continue as Lok Sabha Speaker as per the 10th Schedule of the Constitution despite being expelled from his party. He can only be removed by a notice initiated by 100 members of the Lok Sabha and then it has to be ratified by two-thirds majority present and voting.

Somnath Chatterjee made it clear this morning that he would not step down from the constitutional post as of now.

Somnath reportedly told West Bengal Left Front chairman Biman Bose over telephone that he wanted to continue as the Speaker and if he is pushed too hard to quit the post, then he will even resign from party itself.

The remarks came in response to the attack by Bose, who had said yesterday, “What is the justifiability of his (Somnath) continuing in office after withdrawal of support to the UPA government?”

Somnath on his part was very angry that the party included his name in the list of Left MPs, who had withdrawn support to the UPA government. His contention was that as long as he is the Speaker, he should be kept above party politics.

Following the row, the CPM left his name out of the list of MPs that had been issued in the party whip. Somnath had his way by presiding over the trust vote as the Speaker and therefore omitting himself from voting during floor test. Moreover, Chatterjee was not willing to go along with the Left’s idea of voting with the BJP to pull down the government as it is Left’s long held view that it wants to keep communal forces at bay.

He had yesterday told media persons that CPM cannot give him a notice because he is not a politburo member.

Reactions

CPM

Senior CPM politburo member M K Pandhe said that the party was unhappy with Somnath’s decision to chair the trust vote.

However big leader he might be, Somnath can’t defy the party, Pandhe said referring to the party diktat asking him to step down as Lok Sabha Speaker.

He added that the development will not affect the morale of his party.

Congress

Commenting on the expulsion Congress party spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan said that the move was unprecedented. She said that Somnath was not the CPM speaker but the Lok Sabha speaker and should continue in his post.

On being informed that the CPM has cited his conduct during the trust vote as one of the reasons for the expulsion, she said that he had done nothing inappropriate.

“He is a very fair and upright Speaker,” she said. But she refused to comment further saying that it was an internal matter of the CPM.

Soli Sorabjee

Former Attorney General Soli Sorabjee said he was “shocked and saddened” at the CPM decision
